Meet the Founder & CEO:
Spencer Wood
A University of Maine 13′ graduate Spencer began his undergraduate career at UMaine in 2009 as a defensive end on the football team. He earned NCAA awards both on and off the field. Upon his graduation in 2013, he was invited to become a graduate assistant in the College of Human Development. In May of 2015, he received his Master’s in Human Development with a focus on violence prevention. Spencer founded Tip Whip in January of 2014.

Edward Mckersie
Investor & Partner
A Massachusetts native, Ed graduated from Bentley University with a dual major in Economics and Finance in 1983 and moved to Maine in 1989. He is the Founder and President of LiveandWorkinMaine LLC, an initiative to increase awareness of career opportunities in Maine. He is also the Founder and President of Pro Search, Inc., a staffing and recruiting firm which is now the largest locally owned firm of its kind in the State of Maine.
Ed has served as the Board Chair of the Maine Center for Enterprise Development and is also a member of the Maine Angels.
