In these past few weeks, Tip Whip has taken on a surprising amount of work. However, while all of the extra projects are going on, our focus on ensuring UMaine students have safe rides never strays. Just last weekend, 16 drivers moved a total of 1027 students, and we increased our active mobile app users to 1750! When we’re not busy transporting our Black Bears, we’re working on our expansion efforts.
As we begin to incorporate Husson University into services, you can find members of our team introducing the concept of Tip Whip to various classes, student organizations, and athletics at Husson. Before we’re up and running at a second campus, assembling a fleet of drivers who can keep up with this fast paced opportunity is a necessity. So keep an eye out for the Tip Whip team and explore the possibility of becoming a part of it!
While we may be currently expanding to Husson, there’s still a lot more ground to cover. This week gave way to meetings with the University of Maine at Farmington, Beal College, and Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) to discuss the possibility of a partnership between Tip Whip and their students. These efforts could mean colleges 3, 4, and 5 who recognize the importance of ensuring a safe ride home for all students.
At Tip Whip, we are taking advantage of every opportunity to expand our services to more and more students. As the mobile app continues to develop and we improve our stats weekend after weekend, it becomes easier to develop the lasting partnerships with other schools and businesses that allow us to grow as a company.
Ps. drivers have given nearly 3,000 rides and transported 10,000 students in the past 2.5 months!
